In 2017, the completion of the 450 Spectrum Center Drive Parking Structure marked a significant milestone in the development of the Spectrum Master plan. This six-level parking facility, crafted from poured-in-place concrete and post-tensioned for durability, stands as a vital component of the bustling commercial hub.
Strategically designed to maximize efficiency and convenience, the parking structure accommodates 1,302 parking stalls, including dedicated spaces for 19 motorcycles. Its central location serves as a parking hub for one of the twin 21-story office towers that define the Spectrum skyline, facilitating seamless access for tenants and visitors.

Beyond its utilitarian function, the parking structure contributes to the vibrant indoor/outdoor work environment envisioned for the Spectrum complex. Generously landscaped public spaces and pedestrian connections seamlessly integrate the structure into its surroundings, fostering a sense of community and connectivity.
Designed on the axis of the iconic 400 Spectrum Center Drive Office Tower, the parking structure pays homage to its architectural counterpart while forging its own identity. The strong architectural vocabulary is evident in the meticulous details, from the poured-in-place concrete with deep reveals to the custom stainless steel scrim panels adorning the openings.
A standout feature of the structure is the vertical aluminum louvers adorning the vehicular entrances—a design innovation introduced by Wayne Banks. This distinctive facade element not only adds visual interest but also sets a new standard for commercial parking structures within the Spectrum Office Complex.
As a testament to its success, the vertical louver entry facade has since been incorporated into the design of other structures within the complex, including the 100, 200, and 300 structures. By seamlessly blending functionality with architectural excellence, the 450 Spectrum Center Drive Parking Structure exemplifies the spirit of innovation and collaboration that defines the Spectrum community.
