Market Square Mixed-Use
The Market Square Mixed-Use Parking Structure in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin, is a nine-level, cast-in-place concrete building featuring 655 parking stalls and 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The four upper levels house 62 apartment units, designed to blend with the architectural fabric of the area through structural efficiency and integral brick features. Attention to construction detailing and material selection ensures low maintenance and longevity.
Completed in 1998, the $13.4M project was finished below the construction budget. Value-added design features helped reduce costs, with specific concrete construction detailing techniques and construction sequencing refinements providing overall savings in material and labor. This approach not only met the client's budgetary needs but also contributed to the project's structural and aesthetic success.
