The Oaks Mall West Parking Structure
The Oaks Mall West Parking Structure is a design-build project with 1,324 parking stalls across three levels, offering direct access to the mall via pedestrian bridges at both ends. Utilizing a cast-in-place long-span, post-tensioned concrete frame, the structure ensures open visual access and improved circulation. Enhanced features such as painted interiors, higher lighting values, and iconic elements for clear access and circulation were included to improve the parking experience.
Pedestrian safety was prioritized with clearly identifiable pedestrian ways to minimize vehicle conflict points. The design increased parking stalls near multiple mall entrances, reducing search times and pedestrian travel distances. Architectural elements were designed to complement the mall's style, focusing on durability and low maintenance, and the project was completed on time and under budget.
